HO-scale Norfolk Southern Dash 9-44CW locomotive, NS 8786, is a detailed, ready-to-run model that captures the power and appearance of a late-1990s NS freight locomotive on an HO layout. This Genesis-class model features LED lighting, a full cab interior, etched see-through walkway steps, and illuminated ground lights with front and rear number boards, plus DCC-ready Quick Plug 21-pin connectors and an option for onboard sound to enhance operation.
Built on a heavy die-cast Genesis frame with a five-pole motor, all-wheel drive, and reliable electrical pickup, it delivers smooth, quiet performance and solid pulling power on HO tracks. RP25 wheels ensure broad track compatibility, while body-mounted scale knuckle couplers add realism. Sound-equipped variants include a Tsunami2 decoder with dual speakers for authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds and full DCC functionality. Minimum layout radius is 18 inches (22 inches recommended).
