Description
This is a Marklin 48157 HO Scale Eva Tank Car. The is a replica of a pressurized gas tank car, used on the German Federal Railroad (DB). It was a privately owned car painted and lettered for the firm Eisenbahn-Verkehrsmittel GmbH (Eva), Düsseldorf, Germany. This car has a detailed, partially open frame. The side sills are U-shaped profiles with openings for cables. The trucks are based on the Minden-Dorstfeld design. The car has a separately applied brakeman’s platform. Length over the buffers 14.6 cm / 5-3/4″. DC wheel set 4 x 70 05 80. Features include: new tooling for tank car designs with a length of 12.74 meters / 41 feet 9-9/16 inches in real life, can be run on industrial curves with a radius of 295.4 mm / 11-5/8″ or greater, and MÄrklin close couplers in standard pocket with guide mechanism. This car was made for a one-time series in 2007 for MÄrklin Insider members.
