HO scale five-bay rapid-discharge coal hopper, GGPX class. This model reproduces the coal-service cars used in unit trains, designed to unload quickly between mines and power plants. It features a removable load and comes fully assembled and ready to run on your layout.
With a highly detailed injection-molded body, accurately painted and printed markings, and separately applied brake wheel and wire grab irons on side ladders, this car delivers prototypical realism. It uses body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers, is weighted for dependable operation, and rolls on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours for smooth performance on HO track. A minimum radius of 18 inches keeps it friendly for a wide range of layouts.
