Description
HO scale GE AC4400CW locomotive in GECX 4002 livery is a detailed, prototype-informed model built to bring the power and look of a modern freight locomotive to HO layouts. Designed for realistic operation, it features accurate color and detailing, and it is DCC-ready with Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector for easy decoder installation, enabling hobbyists to tailor control on compatible layouts. LED lighting and illuminated number boards, along with see-through cab windows and a full interior, help recreate authentic on-the-rail scenes day or night.
For performance, this AC4400CW uses a heavy die-cast frame and Genesis driveline to deliver solid traction and smooth, quiet running on typical HO track. It includes scale-accurate details such as etched walkways, fine handrails, McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee compatible), and RP25 wheels for reliable compatibility with common brands. Road-number and livery variations faithfully reproduce the GECX 4002 variant, with some sound-equipped versions offering Tsunami2 audio and CV-programmable functions (CV chart included). A minimum 18″ radius is required, with 22″ or larger recommended for best performance on standard HO layouts.
