Description
This HO scale 50-foot PC&F smooth-side box car with a 14-foot plug door in Southern Pacific livery is a detailed model designed to capture mid-century freight service on HO layouts. Part of the Genesis line, it combines prototypical realism with reliable operation for both running sessions and display on a model railroad.
It features separated wireform grab irons and etched coupler platforms, full underframe detail with an air brake reservoir, control valve and brake cylinder with plumbing, and a weighted body for steady handling. The car rides on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers for smooth running on standard HO track. Accurate painting and printing bring the prototype to life on a highly detailed injection-molded body, with a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended). Primed for grime, the model duplicates the look of in-service equipment with faded base colors and provides a perfect starting point for weathering into rust and grime.
