Description
HO-scale GE Dash 9-44CW locomotive with DCC and sound in ARZC livery, unit 4402. This model brings prototypical Dash 9-44CW mainline power to HO scales, complete with onboard SoundTrax Tsunami2 sound and dual speakers for realistic engine, horn, and bell audio, operable on both DC and DCC layouts. Road-number specific details include ARZC heralds with Operation Lifesaver logos, plus distinctive skate-style antennas, a large antenna dome, and an exhaust stack cover that mirrors the prototype.
The model features etched see-through walkway steps, LED ground lights above the front trucks and front/rear walkways, a full cab interior visible through see-through cab windows, and a host of scale details such as walkways, windshield wipers, lift rings, wire grab irons, and sander lines. It rides on a Genesis drive with a 5-pole motor, all-wheel drive and electrical pickup, a heavy die-cast frame for traction, RP25 wheel contours, and body-mounted McHenry knuckle couplers. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector, with CVs adjustable for fine-tuned performance (a CV chart is included). Minimum radius is 18 inches, with 22 inches recommended for best operation, and the packaging securely holds the model for safe storage.
