HO-scale F9A diesel locomotive with DCC and sound, primed for grime to resemble an in-service unit. The weathered base colors reproduce the look of actual equipment, giving a realistic starting point for adding grime and rust on your layout. Based on the classic GM EMD F-unit design, this model offers prototype accuracy and smooth, reliable operation on HO tracks.
Inside, a DCC decoder powers a SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound system with dual speakers for authentic engine, horn, and bell effects, and it runs on both DC and DCC with NMRA-compatible configurations. Features include a heavy die-cast frame for traction, LED lighting, see-through cab windows with interior detail, and body-mounted, Kadee-compatible couplers for prototypical coupling. For HO layouts, the model is engineered to handle typical track work, with an 18-inch minimum radius and a 22-inch recommended radius for best performance.
