An HO-scale reproduction of a 50-foot FMC box car with a double-door configuration in WCTR markings, designed for realistic operation on hobby layouts. This model captures the mid-1970s era when FMC’s 50-foot cars were common on American railroads, featuring varying door configurations to suit different customers and service needs.
Key features include separately applied grab irons, end ladders, and a brake wheel, plus a photo-etched cross-over platform that adds realism. It rolls on 33-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and is weighted for reliable, smooth operation. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers enable prototypical coupling with other HO rolling stock. The injection-molded body is highly detailed, painted and printed for authentic decoration, and the model is designed to run on HO layouts with a minimum 18-inch radius.
