Description
HO-scale 45-foot Fruehauf Z-Van Smooth-Side trailer from Athearn is a detailed model designed to add realism to HO-scale road and rail dioramas. This smooth-side variant recreates the Z-Van’s modern look, delivering a long, clean silhouette that suits freight scenes from the 1970s through the 2000s.
Historically, Z-Vans came in different lengths and styles, with refrigeration equipment options and varied landing gear and door rod configurations; the 45-foot smooth-side version represents the era’s most current construction. The model’s careful detailing and scale accuracy help it pair with HO tractors and a wide range of rolling stock to create convincing, era-appropriate freight operations on your layout.
