Hangar 9 UltraCote White RC airplane covering is a premium polyester covering for model aircraft, available as a 10-meter white roll. It uses a multi-temperature adhesive and shrink system, plus a patented polymerizing process that permanently fuses the color to the film, preventing color-layer separation and allowing repositioning on the model.
Designed to shrink and stretch, it handles tight curves and wingtips with ease for a smooth, durable finish. The covering is lightweight at about 0.30 oz per square foot and is fuel-proof to glow fuel, gas, and smoke oil, with waterproof performance. Adhesion to wood begins around 200–220°F; shrinkage begins around 300°F, with maximum shrinkage at about 350°F.
