Description
ICC Wide-Vision Caboose with Lights and Sound, DRGW 01507, is an HO-scale model that recreates the iconic wide-vision caboose used by many U.S. railroads. It features the extended cupola and see-through end platforms that gave crews better rear visibility, and it arrives fully assembled and ready to run. The car carries laser-accurate roadname and number detailing, interior seating for crew figures, and LED lighting that can be controlled in both DCC and analog layouts. With machined metal wheels, a weighted chassis, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers, it’s built for reliable operation on standard HO track with an 18-inch minimum radius.
Authenticity extends to the Rio Grande variant, including era-appropriate features such as a firecracker-style antenna and, in DCC mode, a trainline air whistle. Underframe detail replicates brake hardware and plumbing, while LED interior and marker lights enhance daytime and night displays. The sound-equipped version delivers authentic caboose sounds—horn or whistle, wheel clack, brake action—when used with a compatible decoder. This combination of prototypical styling, solid construction, and ready-to-run convenience makes it a standout end car for any HO layout.
