Description
HO scale 50-foot Superior Plug Boxcar in BCOL livery, car number 4713, faithfully replicating a late-1960s Fruit Growers Express design. This insulated plug-door boxcar is built to haul a wide range of freight, including temperature-sensitive cargo, with 10-foot-wide plug doors that seal tightly for efficient loading and unloading on HO layouts.
Features include separate brake wheel and ladders, 70-ton roller bearing trucks, and 33-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, all weighted for smooth, reliable operation. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers enable easy connections to other cars, while the injection-molded, highly detailed body is painted and printed to realistic, prototypical schemes. A minimum radius of 18 inches makes it suitable for a broad range of layout configurations.
