An HO-scale plastic model of a 2-bay covered hopper car designed for realistic freight operations on model railroads. It reproduces a 2,970-cubic-foot capacity and reflects the Centerflow design introduced in the 1960s, featuring a rounded body that provides structural strength while easing gravity unloading for dense bulk loads such as cement and sand.
Fine detailing includes photo-etched roof walks, separately applied wire grab irons and brake piping, and a meticulously detailed underbody. The model uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers and is weighted for smooth, reliable operation on typical layouts. The injection-molded body is painted and printed for realistic decoration, and the design supports an 11-inch minimum radius for curves to ensure good performance on standard tracks.
