HO Maxi-III Well Car Set, NWCX 1013 — a five-car HO-scale model designed for intermodal container service, featuring a well between the trucks to carry double-stack containers on compatible layouts.
Equipped with 33″ and 38″ RP25-contour solid nickel-silver wheelsets and weighted for steady, reliable running, the cars use body-mounted McHenry operating scale upper- and lower-shelf knuckle couplers for smooth, dependable connections. The highly detailed injection-molded bodies are painted and printed for realistic decoration, and the set is built to run on HO layouts with a minimum 18″ radius. The well design mirrors real intermodal equipment: the recessed space between the trucks allows containers to sit lower, enabling two-container loads per car where clearance permits.
